Why did you decide to pursue the CLTD certification?
“I wanted to expand my knowledge beyond the four walls of the factory to include transportation and distribution which are very obscure subjects. I wanted to fill in the gaps of my understanding of an end-to-end supply chain.”
Have you implemented a logistics, transportation and distribution initiative because of your CLTD training?
“I am working a border crossing efficiency project in Mexico with its domestic and international suppliers coming from the US. This helped me understand the process better and helped to highlight areas of improvement.”
What was your biggest takeaway from the CLTD training?
“My biggest takeaway was in understanding the entire chain, link by link, inbound and outbound in what we classically describe as “supply chain.””
How will a logistics, transportation and distribution initiative make a positive impact on your organization?
“Reduce detention/demurrage, reduce safety stocks & overall inventory levels, reduce expedites & premium freight and improve material availability.”
